Interesting book!
Being from this area myself, I was very interested in the photographs that were presented in this work. As I live almost 2,000 miles away from the area now, this book helped to alleviate some of my homesickness.

The photos show special moments in Champaign-Urbana's history (presidents' visits and the like) as well as shots of Chanute AFB and Danville, among others.

This collection of papers covering Phonology, Morphology, Syntax and Semantics explores the connection with Latin and modern Romance languages. Articles include Spanish and French syllable structure, properties of Brazilian Portuguese vowels, case marking in Spanish and Rumanian, and comparisons with French and Italian. It is a good reference tool for any linguist who speaks multiple romance languages.

University of Illinois: Past & Present: Urbana-Champaign
Published in Hardcover by Phoenix Pub (October, 1995)
Average review score:

A good picture book of the university of Illinois at UC
This book is a nice picture book of the university. It has some text describing the main things at the university from past to present. It is just a shame that there is too much focus on the athletic side, and less on the academic side, which in my opinion, is a much stronger side of the university. This is a nice book to give to alumni or visitors.
